Unlocker

A little app, that integrates into your Windows Explorer (right click menu). It saves you from a lot of headaches. It does a simple thing: Unlock files that are in use (or had been in use).
It releases all handles (you can choose) - to apps that hold them. There are lots of scenarios when you cannot delete a file because some app that is long closed has left open handle on file and windows OS just didn't kill the handle. That is where Unlocker comes in! Try it out - it cost you nothing: freeware!
