Office Exercising - Exercise at Work
I wonder for a long time - what can I do to exercise at work. You see, we all know tat we spend the best part of our life stuck in office, behind the desk in front of a computer. Well a lot of us do.
Now, there are day when it's impossible to exercise. Either you are to tired, you just don't feel like it, children are asleep but it's 10pm etc.
So... what can be done? There are a couple of things. There must be! All I'll go nuts... I plan to check google for that, but in the meantime these are te things that cross my mind:
- go to work on a bicycle (very hard, at least for me - quite long distance makes me sweat (it's 1/2 of biking) and to take a shower... hmm... where?)
- go to a gym during lunch break (nope. Takes too much time)
- office exercises (use whatever you have at hand, or your body weight. It's difficult if you are sharing office with others but... if ther is one thing you can do it's called Farmer Burns exercises - you can look it up on the web - it builds abs)
- ...
But the thing is ther must be some way of exercising while doing things. For example: I can easily think just about anything while I'm running, walking, rowing, rope jumping,... I've seen folks who built stacionary walking/running machines with laptops on handles. Same were seen on stacionary bikes. But... you just can bring them to office, can you?
So what's left to do? Do a couple of squats now and then. They are fast and you won't get caught. Do pushups if you know you won't get caught :)
But do not exaggerate - because you'll break a sweat. And that is not what we want.
There is another thing worth mentioning. If you eat your big lunch at lunch time: french fries,... then you should consider a more healthy diet. I'm not saying stiop eating "junk" food. It's everywhere so it cannot be avoided, unless you eat salads alone (not at McD*** though :) ).
