Have some free time? I did - well late at night: but here are a few of google techtalks that I especially liked.
Yes they are long but worth every minute - skip your football game on TV or dr.House... and check this out:
Why More Is Less
Some interesting things about life, spendinh, having choices,...
The Paradox of Choice - Why More Is Less
No Time to Think
And here is a classic: it talks about stuff we know but ignore. Especially western world. It's all about doing, going, making, learing (notice all -ing(s)?=.
You can have a BIG problem when you have automatic restart option in windows server domain set on - and you, yes, accidently click on Restart Now...
Now... there is a problem: you have open docs in Word, open Visual Studio, Eclipse, Nvu,... whatever and you even don't wanna restart the computer.
What can you do? There is a way (does not always work, so don't play with it):
Hit Windows key + R
Enter: shutdown -a
If you are fast enough before internal pointer commits suicide you can stop the shutdown process.
Intels' demo of CPU features.
It's a little old, but nevertheless useful to see differences in Cache Size (L2 Size), Speed, etc.

Unlocker
A little app, that integrates into your Windows Explorer (right click menu). It saves you from a lot of headaches. It does a simple thing: Unlock files that are in use (or had been in use).
I wonder for a long time - what can I do to exercise at work. You see, we all know tat we spend the best part of our life stuck in office, behind the desk in front of a computer. Well a lot of us do.
Now, there are day when it's impossible to exercise. Either you are to tired, you just don't feel like it, children are asleep but it's 10pm etc.
So... what can be done? There are a couple of things. There must be! All I'll go nuts... I plan to check google for that, but in the meantime these are te things that cross my mind:
This section explains exercises that should be done every day, because of their impact on health, good-condition, mental health and so forth.
1. Jumping rope
Do about 1000-2000 of them, that will take you about 10-15 minutes, depending on the tempo, type of rope,...
Try to do simple basic jumps, one legged jumps, running-jumps,... combine.
Don't go over 2000, because it although it's a great all round exercise I guess it's just not meant to be done for one hour per day (or is it?).
2. Hindu squats
This is one of the best exercises around...
Trust me! You'll break a sweat in no time, plus it's a great cardio exercise. It builds power in your legs, esp. lower legs, arms, whole body. And it burns fat quicker then baking :)
Let's get going...
first get a decent rope !
I know this sounds obvious, but trust me a good rope is a must! Or you'll begin to hate the exercise even before you'll start doing it.
